Read this before you post a base tour

Pinned. The board is a written record of the two servers, not a second game.

I am writing this down because the last three “posts” people asked for were a screenshot with no words, a password hint, and a tour of a base whose owner was offline. None of those belong here. This page is how the site stays useful after the join steps.

A thread needs a place, a problem, and enough detail that a person who was not in the voice chat can follow it. “Riverside, west wall, the generator is not a gun range” is a thread. “lol base” is not. Name the game. Zomboid and Tekxit do not share crates, claims, or a sense of scale, and a mixed post wastes the next reader’s time.

Do not include the server password, a routable home IP, or a real name someone did not already use in game. The site has no accounts. If you want a reply added, say so on the server with the name you play under. I will post it. I will not post a pile of one-line reactions, and I will not invent a head count so the page looks busy.

Adding the part about tours, since that was my request and I got it wrong the first time. If the base is shared, everyone who sleeps there should know the thread exists before the floor plan goes up. I do not care about hiding the laundromat. I care about the crate behind the dryers, which is the journal and the spare key, and which does not need a labeled photo.

Also, a tour is not a claim. Writing “we live here” does not make a safehouse. The safehouse does. If you have not claimed it in game, do not describe it on the board as yours.

Corrections are welcome when they change a wiki page. Last week’s note about the enchanting infuser is the shape I want: version 16.8.4, the cheap recipe is gone, the advanced one needs both sets of ingredients. That became a paragraph on the claims page. A correction that is just “you’re wrong” and no version number stays in chat.

Harassment, slurs, and anything sexual about a minor get removed and so does the person. The server name is a joke we are stuck with. It is not a tone you have to aim for. Crude is allowed. Cruel is a kick. The rules page is still the rules. If this thread and that page ever disagree, the rules page wins until I edit the rules page.
