Delete menu, DLSS, and the hitch at dusk

Delete opens Viewpoint’s settings. The mod list does not have to run at the prettiest number on every card.

Every evening around the time the light fix does its job, my frame time fell off a table. It felt like zombies teleporting, which is a bad feeling in first person because you cannot see the one behind you anyway. I stopped blaming Knox. The inventory was fine. The camera was doing extra work.

What helped, on a mid-range Nvidia card, in the Delete menu: frame generation off, view distance down one notch from the default I had bragged about, and the interface scale left alone. TREE in 3D stays on. Turning trees back into cardboard made the stutter less and the fights worse, because I walked into trunks I could not see as trunks. OldPoint stayed installed and unused. Unsubscribing is not a setting.

AMD report, so this thread is not only one brand. Frame generation was never really on for me. The hitch was the light fix plus a flashlight plus a room full of More Damaged Objects debris. Lowering the light quality in Viewpoint’s menu, not unsubscribing Light Fix, cleared it. Light Fix stays. First person doors are a joke without the collision mods, and I am not re-learning which door is a lie.

If the whole screen is a slideshow at noon in an empty field, you are not in this thread. Check that ZombieBuddy actually raised your memory. The Windows script sets 6 GB. A 2 GB client will hitch on the main menu and then blame the dusk.

ADS and true ballistics are not the stutter. I turned them off to test, gained almost nothing, and lost the ability to tell a long shot from a wish. Turn them back on if you copied me. The noise rule does not change because your sights feel expensive. You still do not zero a rifle against the laundromat wall.

Settings in the Delete menu are yours. The mod list is not. If a guide somewhere says to delete DLSS Frame Generation from the workshop to “fix FPS,” ignore it. The server expects the item. Toggle the feature. If you are still in a hole after that, say your GPU and what you toggled, and we can add a line here. “It lags” with no noun is how this thread gets worse.
