Guns, noise, and melee
The server has more firearms than a quiet neighborhood can survive. Treat a trigger as a decision about everyone in the cell, not as a personal toy.
GaelGunStore is the armory mod. Firearm Pack Compatibility is what keeps those guns from disagreeing with the rest of the weapon mods. Both jars get an Allow on the loader. If a gun shows as a generic item or will not chamber, you skipped a jar. Fix that before you decide the rifle is “bugged” and drop it in a field.
What else is in the rack
- H.E.C.U. adds a military kit with its own look and its own weight. It is a loadout, not a costume you wear to the kitchen. The board has a thread on what we actually carry.
- Alice’s Weapon Sling is how a long gun stops occupying both hands and half the grid. Sling it. Do not leave it on the hood of the van.
- Buttstroke lets you hit with the gun instead of announcing the street. Use it inside or next to a base.
- Medieval Z and the Bushcraft rare weapons cover the days before you have ammo discipline. A spear with reach still loses to panic. Short tools still win in a bathroom.
- Viewpoint’s recoil, ADS, and true ballistics change the shot itself. Read Viewpoint before you “zero” anything against a wall people sleep behind.
Noise
A shot pulls zombies from further than you can see in first person, which is exactly the direction you are not looking. Do not sight-in at the safehouse. Do not clear a main street because you found a box of 9mm and got cheerful. If you must shoot, do it away from claimed buildings, and do not lead the result back to the door. The rule is written that way because someone will eventually think their suppressor, real or imagined, makes them an exception.
Ammo you found in the world is yours. Ammo in a marked crate is the base’s. Counting rounds before a run, and putting the unfired ones back, is the whole of gun etiquette. A sling full of “borrowed” magazines is theft with extra steps.
Melee is the default
Push, then swing, then back up. Doorways. One zombie at a time whenever the game lets you. Common Sense adds a few practical actions that make this less clumsy. It does not make you durable. If you are tired, injured, or carrying a grid so full you cannot sidestep, you are not in a fight. You are in a mistake.
Vanilla Gear Expanded and Vanilla Outfits Expanded change what protection looks like. Read the clothing page for temperature. For bites, no outfit on this list is a promise. A scratched neck is still a conversation with the group, not a secret you walk into the kitchen with.
