Knox Inventory

Tab opens it. If Tab opens the old list, you are not looking at the same containers as the rest of the server.

Knox is a grid. Weight still matters, but shape matters too. A shotgun and a frying pan are not the same kind of “one slot,” and a bag that looked roomy in vanilla can refuse a rifle that stuck out of the rectangle. That is the mod working. Turning your whole pack sideways in a doorway because you did not Tetris the meds is a you problem, and it is a better problem than a desynced crate.

The Java half

The Workshop item is not the whole mod. KnoxInventoryJava.jar has to be allowed through ZombieBuddy. If the game tells you the Java part did not load, believe it. Quit, confirm the launch option is -agentlib:zbNative -- on Windows or -javaagent:ZombieBuddy.jar -- on Mac and Linux, start from Steam while holding Left Shift, and Allow that jar. Then quit and start once more before you join.

Playing anyway “just to loot a house” writes container changes the server understands differently from the client. People have been accused of stealing a hammer that was never gone. Do not be the client that creates that argument.

Sorting and the eye

Better Sorting renames and groups items so a junk drawer can be read. Has Been Read marks books you have already used, which matters once you care about skills. Open All Containers, once its jar is allowed, empties a room’s worth of furniture into the transfer window. That is a looting tool, not a permission slip. On a claimed base you use it only on containers you are allowed to touch. The rule is on the loot page, and it is stricter than the button.

Habits that keep the grid sane

Jeeve’s QoL and NeatUI sit alongside this and change buttons and panels. If a control moved, look for it before you assume Knox ate it. The inventory itself is still Tab.
