Getting into Tekxit 4

The Minecraft side of CummyTummy is Tekxit 4 (Official) 16.8.4, at mc.cummytummy.com. The pack is Tekkit and Hexxit at once: machines, and a world that will still try to eat the machines.

Install the Technic Launcher and the pack from the link on the join page. It is Minecraft 1.19.2 on Fabric. A vanilla profile, a Bedrock client, and a cracked login all fail in different fonts and for the same reason. Online mode wants a paid Microsoft account. There is no offline switch to ask for.

Pin the version

This server runs 16.8.4. The public Technic page moves on. A newer build can add and remove mods out from under you. 16.8.4 is the one where Cupboard claims are already gone, Open Parties and Claims is the land system, Carry On will not pick up a dimensional door, and Kibe’s angel ring was fixed for multiplayer. If your instance updated itself, you are not “a little ahead.” You are on a different modpack that happens to share a name. Downgrade to 16.8.4 before you file a bug about a missing block.

The pack author’s site documents a manual downgrade for the launcher: the client zip has to be named as the version the launcher expects, then reinstalled from the cache. Use that if the launcher will not sit still. Do not copy random jars into the mods folder to fake a match.

Memory and the first launch

Set the instance to at least 5 GB. The pack notes ask for that, and more if you have it. Distant Horizons is in the pack and will spend what you give it. If the game stutters, lower distant generation before you blame the host. The 16.8.4 config prefers slow distant generation on purpose, because fast generation was locking the server thread. Your pretty horizon can wait.

Shaders, if you turn them on, are a client choice. Integrated graphics should leave them off. MakeUp Ultra Fast is the shader path that version put back. It is not required to play with us.

The first hour on the server

Spawn is a road. Do not dig a base into it. Walk until the chunks are yours to claim, then claim, then build. The order is the whole of the claims page. Punching wood is still correct. So is not following a stranger’s riftway because the frame was pretty. Hazards that are actually mods, not metaphors, are listed on the hazards page.

If you disconnect on join, check the version and the account before you check the hostname. The hostname is mc.cummytummy.com with the port left at 25565. No http://, no trailing slash, no extra port you saw in a router guide. You are joining a server. You are not hosting one.
