Claims, parties, and early power
Land on this pack is Open Parties and Claims. Cupboard was removed in 16.8.4. If a video tells you to craft a cupboard, the video is for a different month.
Create a party for the people who will open your chests, then claim the chunks your base actually sits on. The key bind lives in the controls menu under the mod’s name. Look it up in your client rather than trusting a default from a single-player guide. Invite on purpose. A party of “everyone I have met” is a claim with no walls.
The river border people are using now is described on the claim thread: the claim stops where the reeds start, so the water stays a road. Copy that spirit if you settle on a bank. Do not claim a strip a chunk wide and a thousand blocks long to “own the river.” You will not get it, and the map will show the attempt.
Create, early
Create is the rotation-and-stress machine mod in the pack. A water wheel or a windmill is the right first engine. It runs when the world runs, it does not ask for a fuel can, and it stays polite if it stays inside your claim. A bearing, a gantry, or a plough that reaches the next party’s wheat is a grief even when the animation is impressive. Stress units are the budget. If the wheel cannot spin the line, add a wheel or shorten the line. Do not solve it by loading extra chunks and hoping.
The windmill thread is one working setup that does not need an all-night chunk loader. Read it before you bury a cog in the river.
Chunk loaders
The pack has chunk loaders, and 16.8.4 fixed timeouts that were not firing. That means a loader can expire. Build as if it will. A furnace stack or a Create line that must finish can have a loader for the job. A town, a quarry, and a mob dropper running while you are offline cannot. The server is shared. Your overnight contraption is someone else’s latency.
When you log off, look at the loader. If the job is done, turn it off. If the timeout already killed it, fix the machine so a half-finished process does not spill into a claim border. Chunkcumulator is also in that version’s notes. Leave it alone unless you know why you are holding chunks in memory. “More chunks” is rarely the answer.
Enchanting, briefly
On 16.8.4 the normal enchanting infuser recipe was pulled because the block is broken. The advanced recipe expects ingredients from both. If a guide shows the cheap infuser, you are following a lie. Use the advanced one, or enchant the ordinary way until you can afford it. Do not report the cheap recipe as a missing mod.
