Viewpoint

Project Viewpoint is why this server does not look like a diorama. It is also why a missing jar feels like a different game.

O turns first person on or off. Shift+O switches first and third person. Delete opens Viewpoint’s own settings. Those three are worth memorizing before you memorize a gun. The settings menu is where frame generation, interface scale, and a few fixes get toggled when a machine cannot carry the defaults. People have written down the combinations that stopped a dusk hitch on the stutter thread.

The pile, and why it is a pile

Viewpoint by itself is the camera. The server also runs the pieces that keep that camera from lying:

Skully’s Zombie Collision is in the same family of “the body in front of you is solid.” It is not a Viewpoint mod, but first person without it is how you phase into a crowd and call it a desync.

How to fight in it

First person shortens your awareness behind you and makes a shove a matter of distance, not of a cursor on an isometric tile. Back up sooner than you think. A doorway is a tool. A parking lot is where you get circled.

ADS is for a shot you have already decided to take, somewhere that can absorb the noise. Hip fire in a kitchen is how the kitchen stops being a kitchen. If the gun is in your hands and the zombie is in arm’s reach, buttstroke it. The mod is installed so that choice exists. Guns and noise goes further.

When it looks wrong

Black weapons, flat trees, or an interface that ignores Delete usually mean a jar was denied or a Workshop item failed to download. Run the setup again, or resubscribe, then allow prompts while holding Left Shift. Do not “fix” it by deleting mods until the game launches. The server will reject the mismatch, or worse, let you in with a client that lies about containers.

Frame generation off, view distance sensible, and the light fix left on is the stable combination. Pretty comes after you can walk through a door.
